The Glowlight Tetra is a classic favourite among aquarists, admired for its shimmering silver body and the vivid neon-orange stripe that glows from nose to tail. Native to the Essequibo River in Guyana, this hardy and peaceful species brings subtle beauty and constant movement to any freshwater setup.
Best kept in schools of 6 or more, Glowlight Tetras are ideal for community aquariums and look especially stunning under subdued or plant-filtered lighting. They’re adaptable, beginner-friendly, and get along well with most other small peaceful fish.
