Acei Cichlid

The Acei Cichlid is a peaceful and stunning Mbuna from Lake Malawi, known for its vibrant violet-blue body and bright yellow fins. Unlike most Mbuna, Aceis are less aggressive and more active mid-swimmers, making them an ideal choice for both beginners and experienced Malawi keepers. They thrive in groups and love tanks with plenty of rockwork and open swimming space.

Diet: Herbivore – spirulina flakes, algae wafers, and vegetable-rich foods
Compatibility: Best with other peaceful to moderately aggressive Mbuna; avoid mixing with slow or soft-water fish.
