The Apache Peacock Cichlid is a selectively bred hybrid of Aulonocara species, known for its dramatic colouration and bold appearance. Typically featuring a deep blue face and body, the Apache is accented with bright red or orange over the shoulders and flanks, resembling flame-like patterns — hence the name “Apache.”

This striking Peacock is ideal for aquarists seeking something different from the usual Lake Malawi species. It maintains the calmer temperament typical of Peacocks, making it a great addition to community setups with other non-aggressive Malawi cichlids.
